Hi. I'm looking to create a column that takes the sidebar and has that run down the full right hand side of the page, thus moving the wrapper and main to the left. The footer remains the same.
As far as I can see from http://bluemandala.com/thematic/thematic-structure.html - and I'm a newbie at all this - I need to move thematic_sidebar so that it sits in #wrapper. Is this right and if so how do I go about it?

Footer is a part of wrapper, so when you create a sidebar(let's call it 'right') the header, main, footer - all will shrink.
I'm assuming you will not have any other sidebar so you will be using the one column theme.
You need to create a parallel div inside 'wrapper' along with 'main', let's say 'right' and give it 25% width, and style it in css. But you will have to make changes in your theme files too - index, single, etc. so that your DIV is called from all pages. One of the mods can help you here more technically in that.
