Hello,
I'm new to WP and Thematic, so forgive if this question is basic/lame.
I'm trying to insert a logo into the header of a Thematic Feature Site theme. Where do I do this? I've been hacking at functions.php and frontpage.php, I see how #branding works in CSS, but can't get my jpeg to show up.

it depends where you want it to show up. but I did it through my style.css sheet.
The background property is the one. top_ad maybe a function of the child theme I started with you might also try #blog-title.

Hi jrobben,
This worked! The only thing I'm having trouble with is a white cover on the logo. Is it some kind of container? I'm able to tweak the code to make the logo show completely, but then it bumps up too high on the page. Here is where it is:
padding-top:90px;
If I adjust to 40px, this is where the logo is covered half way by a white box...
Also, how do I insert a link into the code to take the reader back to the index when they click on the logo?
it sounds like it is behind another div - you either need to change z index or put the logo inside the box that is overlaping your logo. maybe just find the area that is blocking your logo and set to display:none
I found something on the forum about completely redoing the header using your own function.php. This is what I did:

That is what I did and it worked too.
