Widgets won't disable in thematic

    Hi,

    I have ghost widgets visible only in the thematic and child themes that just won't go away. These are standard issues widgets RSS, Meta & Blogroll. Removing them via the wp-admin panel does work under Kubrick and Classic themes.

    I was using a 3 column fixed layout for my child theme and demoing the amazingness of adding widgets to a secondary aside. Subsequently reverted to rt fixed layout and my ghost widget problem began. Problem remains under other child themes, specifically a slightly tweaked Boumatic (which I love).

    Thoughts on what I can try?

    Oops. Solved this myself by reading the forum. (duh)

    Workaround seems to be to add another widget (like Calendar) to the secondary aside.

    Poof! Away goes the ghost widgets.
